The Protocol

Attention visitors: We LOVE you! We want you to visit...but...we are being extremely cautious of Charly during her first 6 months + home. Keeping Charly safe from germs and sickness is one of our main priorities. We are asking you to keep the following things in mind if you plan on visiting us (especially during the holidays). It took us 5 months in the NICU to bring her home...and we really don't want her to go back into the hospital if at all possible.

*Please do not visit us if you or someone in your household is sick (cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, stomach ache, etc). Preemie babies get sick much more often than regular babies...and any exposure to even a simple cold can be life threatening.

*Wash your hands. We ask that you come in and wash your hands in the bathroom (at least 2-3 minutes scrubbing), and then apply sanitizer.

*If you would like to hold Charly - in addition to washing your hands...please wear newly changed clothes. We prefer that you have also received the flu vaccination.

*Children under the age of 18 will need to wear a mask and gloves upon entry.

We hope that we don't offend anyone with our strict rules. I know you understand we are being cautious. I promise to keep the blog updated as much as possible...so that you can all continue to see Charly's growth and progress.

PS. Thanks for the sign Alli!
